Citrix Client Setup and SharePoint Access
A Step by Step Guide
Step One
Access the SharePoint Portal website by going to this web address:
https://gateway.cit-dept.calumet.purdue.edu/
Step Two
Then enter your CIT domain login information which is the first part of your email address, (ex: smithj1) and your CIT password, which is by default “Pa88word”, however if you have logged onto the CIT domain before it prompted you to change the password at first logon. In that case, please use the newly updated password that you specified.
Step Three
After you login (if successful) you should be taken to a window with a blank screen and, depending, a pop up window asking “Did you notice the information bar?” which is located at the top of your browser window under you URL bar. Please click the bar and choose “Install ActiveX controls”.
If the pop up doesn't automatically display then you can go to the Citrix website and install the client from there the link is : http://citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/results.asp?productID=186&c1=sot2755
Mac users: Mac clients
Windows users: Presentation Server Web Client Package
Linux: Linux ICA Clients

Step Four
After you choose install a new window will launch asking you to install or don't install the software. Choose install.
Step Five
After you choose install, the Citrix Web client software installer will launch. Start by choosing the correct language.
Step Six
Then choose “Yes” to agreeing to the licensing terms.
Step Seven
Then you should see the SharePoint Portal Page with your applications populating the right side.
Step Eight
If you don't, you may need to login again via clicking the gold key icon under “Citrix Presentation Server Applications”. It will take you to a new login page as shown below.
Step Nine
Enter your credentials. Click OK. It will appear that nothing happens. Click the home button.
Step Ten
After that, you may launch an application simply by clicking on it. You may get an initial registration error or a window with a registration button, but simply ignore it by clicking okay or closing it. Finally, you application should launch!
